Most of St. John's visitors cluster around the same north-shore beaches and the same busy town. Lameshur is the opposite of that. Tucked into a quiet valley on the far south shore, we sit on one of the few privately-owned pockets inside the Virgin Islands National Park — which means the views, the silence, and the wild beauty around you can never be built over.

Fly into Cyril E. King Airport (STT) on St. Thomas, rent car in St. Thomas or take a taxi to the Red Hook ferry, then drive to Cruz Bay, St. John — about a 30-minute drive to us on the south shore. Plan on roughly 3 hours from landing to arrival, so aim for a mid-afternoon flight.
Yes, we strongly recommend one — a 4-wheel-drive vehicle in particular, since some of the roads are rugged and steep. It's the best way to explore St. John and reach us comfortably. We're happy to share a list of rental companies on request.
On the quiet far south shore of St. John, tucked into a valley surrounded by the Virgin Islands National Park. It's one of the most secluded, undeveloped corners of the island — yet the beach is only a short walk away.
Very close. Salt Pond Bay and Kiddel Bay are about a 10-minute walk, with Great and Little Lameshur Beaches a bit farther. National Park hiking trails start right nearby and connect across the island.
The Guest Cottage is a private retreat that sleeps 4, with a full kitchen and covered porch. The Campsites are stylish container "glamping" suites with A/C and queen beds — a family site sleeps up to 6, and two standard sites sleep 3 each.
Think glamping, not roughing it. Each site has air conditioning, a real queen bed, fresh linens, and a shared outdoor kitchen and lounge. All the nature, none of the discomfort.
Snorkel gear, beach chairs, towels and coolers, an outdoor grill, WiFi, and on-site parking — plus a full kitchen (cottage) or shared kitchen (campsites). Just bring yourself and your beach day.
Check-in is any time after 3 PM and check-out is at 10 AM. We need six hours between stays to clean and prepare thoroughly, so these times help us keep every stay spotless.
Cancel at least 30 days before arrival and you'll receive a full refund. Cancellations within 30 days of arrival can't be refunded, so we recommend booking once your plans are set.
